Crime Borads for Music Video

These are the crime boards we used for our music video. We decided to have a couple versions and see which one looked the best in the video.

Prison Board Research

We hah an idea to have a crime board seen at the end where the girls have been caught for taking that boy in the music video.
Here is an example of Lady Gaga in her video Paparazzi at the end with a prison board.

However we want ours to be more realistic with the crime boards, the example to the left is more of what angle and shot we want.

Screen Shots

These are some of the shoots from filming we did in the car park of the group. We used a range of angles whilst there. We think the car park is the main set for our video and it works best for our video. I am pleased with the shots we got for the video of the group as I was worried we didn't have enough of the group together but we made sure to have more than enough shots and variety of locations for our music video.

Journal

Today we filmed all the chorus parts in the car park. Beatrice did the filming while me amy and laura did the acting. We were able to get a lot of different shots and angles so it was a success session. All we need to film now is the crime board scene on a green screen at school. We filmed the scenes in Bexleyheath car park and used Mikey's car for Laura's scene.

We filmed the chorus in all different ways, walking towards the camera and a couple closeups of the four of us.

Journal

Today we sat down and went over the shots we took on Friday. We decided we needed to go back and re do scenes because of lighting as some part in Laura's car scene were too dark. We have planned out what we need to do in the next three weeks. Every tuesday we decided to update blogs and plan, mondays would be used for editing the footage we have already.

Experimenting different styles for my Digipak

I am trying different styles for my digipak design. Today I edited some pictures that I would use on the side panels on the 6 pack digipak. I think these work really well and I want to try make my own background and then use these photos and edit them into my own drawings. This way instead of using just photoshop.

Production Plan list

On friday 18th Laura's section for the music video will be filmed. This is the plan made so we know who is doing what and what we will need to bring.

Journal 14th Novemeber

We decided that on Friday to film Laura's section of the video. However I won't be able to be present for this day. They will be filming at Laura's house at 6 pm using her dad's car as the main setting. Instead of using Adam we have decided to use Jacob instead as he would be more available to film.

This Mascara will be featured in the video simply because of the name as it links in with our song.

Intertextual Reference

For our band and music video we found this video which we though best linked in with our band. The theme of the prison scene with the bars and the prison wall is something we are considering adding to our piece. I have here screen shots of things we would like to include into our music video. The crime board scene would really suit our music video as at the end of our narrative for the music video is to be caught. We would like to use this product into our video as a intertextual reference just so long we can get the product in time.

These are some photos taken when we began shooting scenes for our music video. We filmed the car scene with Amy and Joe. We did manage to get the footage we needed for the beginning part of the video, so it was a success. Hopefully on monday we can start to piece together the video. The next date for filming will be on the 24th. We plan to film the streets and part of the background bits for the video.

Journal

Our group had to give a pitch towards our class on our music video. After we gave them the idea for the video and the story plot it was decided that we really did need to think about the video again and make major changes in order for our music video to become successful.

We were told to rethink the plot of the video and change the ending. From this we decided to change the ending bringing a conclusion of the girls meeting up and rounding all the boys together.

Feedback sheets

The feedback we got was very constructive as a group we realised we needed to work out the ending for the video and re-do the logo.

Our Pitch

Today the group presented the pitch for our music video. Each person in our group answered one of the questions. Amy answered Brief details about our band/artist, including which record label they're signed to, what their ideology is and who their target audience is. I answered Synopsis of the video, including details of performance and/or narrative elements, location shots, costume images and the animatic. Beatrice answered Explanation of how we have used Goodwin's elements within the video and Laura answered Explanation of why we have decided on this concept and how it will appeal to our target audience and 'fit' into the music industry.

Contacting Tesco

Beatrice has contacted Tesco to ask if we would be allowed to film in their Car Park in Welling.

Journal 31 October

Amy has contacted NCP to ask permission if we can film in the car park at Bexleyheath. Today I have put up photos for Reece aswell, Beatrice has also contacted Tesco Car Park and Laura has made a casting slideshow.

What we wrote to the Car park in Bexleyheath:

Me and three of my classmates from Welling School Sixth Form, thought it would be nice to film part of our A-level music video in a car park. We thought that the car park in Royal Oak Road North road , Bexleyheath , DA6 7HG, would be a perfect location for this. We were advised to request permission to film there, rather than just turn up. We are happy to pay for a car park space, as we will be using a car in the video also. We hope to hear back, about whether or not we will be able to do this.

Reece - Locations

I have made screenshots of the different location we plan to film in. Here are two of the locations the other is in my house using the plain red wall as a background .

This will be the car park we plan to use for our music video, using the inside part as the lighting in there will make it easier for us to film. It also has a rough and dark look with the metal fence and being an underground car park.
Shot of the street the girls will walk down and sing.
The lamp post in this picture is a key part of the shot as one of the bang girls stand under the lamp against the wall.
The brick wall along this street will be used for the background when the girls sing.
