This video is the style that our group would like to use, it has the dark edgy look that we would like to apply in our music video. The beginning is eery and uncomfortable to watch the music doesn't begin straight away. There are cuts made of different shots of Rihanna, there areclose ups used to establish the artist. Once the music begins there are over lapped shots from different scenes of Rihanna or people dressed in old clothing.
The costume for the video is dark colours mainly black they are stylish and sexy which appeals to male audiences as Rihanna is known for her very exposed outfits. When the chorus kicks in, a new scene is shown of dancing the editing has been made sharp and fast to distort the movements and intensify the weird of the video. The lyrics and visuals aren't really connected in the video it doesn't state the obvious unlike other video where they would have a clip and the lyrics matching, in this video however either we have shots of Rihanna singning them or shots of weird dancers. The video doesn't focus on men and it only shows minor shots of them throughout, this goes against the stereotype of pop videos were good looking girls or boys are shown with the artist as the 'love interest.'

The are moments when the music and visuals match. On certain beats there are parts where we see a guard hitting a drum or Rihanna patting someone of the head. Or if the music jumped or jumbled up then the video had been editing to jump along with the song.

This video did bring a new side of Rihanna's style. Here we see her 'Good Girl gone Bad" taken to another step along with her other more sinister videos Russian Roulette, Wait your turn and Hard. These videos were seen as a response to her personal life and relationship with Chris Brown, were it hit the media about there abusive relationship. The songs from her albums that were released shortly after their split caused a stirred in the press where this was used to make a higher profile of the release with Rihanna's music.
